Friends, family, ministers and church leaders all came to support 10 new chaplains and volunteers from the churches as they were commissioned to become part of The Gift of Years Rugby.
Existing members of the team also re-affirmed their commitment to the ministry in care homes. At the end of 2018 there are now about 30 of us serving in six care homes in Rugby.
The service was led by Deacon Georgina Brooks, minister of Paddox Methodist Church and Rev. Andy Hardwick who preached from Romans 8 about waiting in hope in the midst of suffering.
